We are not a law firm, and our services do not constitute legal advice. The "ALF" (Authenticated Legacy File) is a digital transcript intended to support, not replace, official legal wills in your jurisdiction.
2. User Responsibilities
- Accuracy: You maintain that all information provided is accurate and truthful.
- Identity: You must not impersonate others. Verification (KYC) is required for certain features.
- Respect: You will not use the platform to generate hate speech, defamation, or illegal content.
- Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your Recovery Code. If lost, we cannot restore access to Zero-Knowledge vaults.
3. Content Ownership & License
You own your data. You retain full intellectual property rights to your memories, texts, and uploads. By using the service, you grant AfterToMe a limited, worldwide license solely to host, encrypt, and deliver this content according to your specific instructions (e.g., to your beneficiaries).
4. AI & EchoSoul™ Disclaimer
The "EchoSoul" feature uses Artificial Intelligence to mimic linguistic patterns based on data you provide.It is strictly an algorithmic simulation. It does not possess consciousness, a soul, or agency. It is not a medium for communicating with the deceased. It is a tool for interactive storytelling and legacy preservation only.
5. Death Verification
AfterToMe does not independently verify death claims unless a "Death Certificate" trigger is explicitly used and validated by a trusted third party. The release of data is governed by the "Triggers" you configure (e.g., inactivity, verifier confirmation). Users bear full responsibility for configuring these triggers correctly.
6. Monument Deactivation
Authorized family representatives may request the deactivation of a Memorial Page or EchoSoul instance by providing legal proof of authority. However, data stored in "Immutable Vaults" (Time-Locked) cannot be deleted until the protocol conditions are met, ensuring the creator's intent is honored.
7. Subscription & Refunds
Billing: Services are billed on a recurring basis (Monthly/Annual) or via One-Time Lifetime fees.Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for annual and lifetime plans, provided no data has been "Sealed" or verified via paid KYC services.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AfterToMe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including emotional distress, arising from the use of our services. We do not guarantee that our services will meet your local legal requirements for a valid will.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Company is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
